After careful consideration, we have decided to sunset Soul Over AI.
The project was created as a transparency initiative, to highlight how AI is being used in music and to encourage discussion around authorship and authenticity.
In a short period of time, it has become clear that the landscape is evolving rapidly. AI tools are increasingly integrated into various parts of music production (often without public disclosure). As a result, making definitive and consistently verifiable classifications is becoming increasingly complex.
Rather than operate in a space where categorization may lack sufficient clarity, we believe it is responsible to conclude the project at this stage.
Soul Over AI was also intended to be community-supported. While there has been strong interest, sustained moderation at the level required to maintain our standards has not been achievable.
We remain committed to accuracy and transparency, and we thank everyone who engaged with the project.
